Presidents’ Day: Celebrate the Chiefs

presidents dayCelebrate Presidents’ Day with! Recognized annually on every 3rd Friday in February, Presidents’ Day was originally created for celebrating George Washington’s birthday, and later became an opportunity to recognize all our past leaders. In general, though, the two presidents recognized on Presidents’ Day are George Washington, our first president, and Abraham Lincoln, our sixteenth president. Washington’s birthday is February 22nd, and Lincoln’s is February 12th. When most people think of today, they think cherry trees and log cabins. We’re going to take some time to talk about other presidents as well. Who was the oldest president in office? The youngest? Who loved jellybeans? We’ll cover all of that and more. Learn about our leaders in chief with the blog today. And no worries – we’ll throw in some presidential auctions for our patriotic bidders.

  • George Washington’s false teeth were actually made out of ivory, gold, and lead – not wood.
