Golden Spectacular: Super Bowl 50

Super Bowl 50

It’s NFL season again – and the championship game will definitely be bigger! You know why? Because the Super Bowl is now 50 years old! Are you ready to experience the Golden Spectacular for all football fans? For the first time in Super Bowl history, the home of San Francisco 49ers will host the Super Bowl at the Levi’s Stadium in Santa Clara, California on February 7, 2016.

But before that, let’s hit back on some history…the first Super Bowl was held and played on January 15, 1967 following the 1966 regular NFL. Super Bowl normally uses roman numerals to identify each season and game instead of putting the year in which the season falls.

And did you know? If we consider all Super Bowls combined, a total of 3,747,914 people have attended the games. Here are some of the figures:

Super Bowl Attendance

Would you believe that there is a group referred to as the “Never Miss a Super Bowl Club”? As the title suggests, this group of people have attended every single Super Bowl event. They were last seen watching during Super Bowl XLVII (2013) – and was consisted of just three people, namely Thomas Henschel, a Steelers fan; Larry Jacobson, a 49ers fan and Don Crisman, a Patriots fan.

But of course, the Super Bowl will always be a competition and you always want your favorite team or player to win the most prestigious title in NFL – to be champions. Do you know which team has the most number of championships in NFL history?
